Minister says Russia not to raise tax for incomes below 5 mln rbl

MOSCOW, Sep 17 (PRIME) -- The Finance Ministry does not plan to raise the income tax for individuals with an annual income of below 5 million rubles, Minister Anton Siluanov said on Thursday.

“For other categories of individuals we will not change taxation terms,” he said.

Siluanov also said that the ministry will allocate additional funds to support unemployed people in 2021.

“We have increased payments to the unemployed with additional money this year, more than 100 billion rubles was sent to the purpose. By the way, we will also allocate additional resources to help people in need next year,” he said.

“We will delay part of our construction projects, investment in material and technical means. These are forced measures so that we could concentrate the resources on implementation of the orders given by the president this year. And the main priority is the support of families, of people in need, a number of social measures, which will be fully provided with funds,” he added.
